Inner Roots Institute
We meet you at your level for a unique continuing ed experience that is truly tailored to what your session needs.
Your Path, Your Way.
Inner Roots is built on a simple philosophy: Less is More. Whether you're fresh out of school, five years into building your solo practice, or a seasoned therapist looking to protect your joints for the long haul, our classes are designed around your foundation, not some idealized version of what a massage "should" look like. You'll learn to slow down, tune into what your body is telling you, and build a toolkit of techniques that actually work for you—your structure, your strength, your hands. This isn't about learning flashy moves; it's about understanding why certain approaches serve your clients better, and which ones you can confidently skip because they don't fit how you're built. I've spent over ten years in practice, as well as a few years teaching at Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, and what I've discovered is that the real magic happens in one-on-one work—that genuine connection and attention to how you learn is exactly what sets our classes apart.
Our classes happen in actual session rooms within our practice space—no massive table clusters or competing conversations, just you, me, and the real environment where this work actually happens. With only a handful of students at a time and four dedicated rooms on-site, you get something rare: genuine attention, plenty of uninterrupted practice time, and the comfort of asking "show me that again?" without holding up thirty other people. You'll walk away with more than new techniques; you'll walk away with the confidence that you can get creative, serve a wider range of clients (regardless of tissue density), and protect your own body for a career that actually feels sustainable. Whether it's body mechanics, cupping, draping, positioning, stretching, or foundational skills—each class is tailored to help you work smarter, not harder, and build a practice that feels as much like home as it does like work.
